The snow keeps coming and then a warm up

Saturday we had a to-die-for beautiful day. I really think it is hard to beat the beauty of snow covered hills against a bright blue sky. But in this case it was best to be viewing all this from inside since it was about 7 degrees outside when this picture was taken. Note the haziness through the trees- that is "steam" from the 'warm' water of Lake Roosevelt.

Our sunny day was followed by ANOTHER snow storm day. We woke up on Monday morning to another 6" of new snow. Our flamigos don't look very happy!

The next big worry is if our roofs will survive the snow pack. Hopefully we will get some warmer weather at the end of the week and some of the snow will slide- In the mean time the icicles are amazing.....

Here is the pathway leading away from our back door- Those snow banks are nearly thigh-high on Joanie.....
Looks like we have entered a January thaw. The temp has warmed up and the snow is melting. We took one last set of pictures before the snow started melting. Hopefully this will be as high as the snow gets this winter......
For a while only one of the Flamigos was above the snow depth...
Here are our driveway piles...almost shoulder high....
and the path in the middle of the yard is thigh-high.....
